[CamRI] questions for the candidates...

Hi again
More questions, more answers.
1*) The VST has formed a clique, they get all the cool stuff and deny my
applications that have cool stuff too. Their stuff is already approved and
has been for a while. My application is just as good or better than theirs.
Also the clique is also large enough to ensure that the VST can be elected
again. What do you do? *
I would sit down with the VST and discuss this openly with them. I would
point out that I have noticed a certain group of players are getting
priority over other players. I would explain why this takes away from the
fairness of the game as well as the realism and ultimately may result in the
loss of players that otherwise would have been active in the domain. If the
bias continues, I would report the behavior to the RST.
*2) A player approaches you and says they would like to run a game with
custom tailored NPC's and plots based around the local players and a
particular play style. For sake of discussion we will say it is a something
other than Requiem game. The player knows the most likely visitors and knows
that in the past they have been disruptive to this style of game before.
There are enough other players to support this game, and they are excited
about it. How would you handle this?
*
Disruptive players exist in any venue. If they are disruptive to a point
where it is ruining the game for a majority of the players then it either
has to be role played out or a plot can be created which relies upon these
disruptive players working with other players.
*3) A VST doesn't like your plot style, they feel that you will ruin a
particular plot they are running if you introduce yours. They are polite and
tell you they don't want your plotline as it is now. You plotline is
awesome, it is ten times better than their plot, it will blow their plot out
of the water, and clean up like a dozen untied loose ends at the same time.
What do you do?*
I would discuss why they believe their plot would be ruined to make sure the
my plot would interfere with it. If not, then I’d explain why it wouldn’t
and point out all of the “loss ends” it would tie up. If it does interfere,
but not in an extreme way, then I’d work with the VST to change it around so
it works with his/her plot.
However, if the plot would ruin the VSTs plot then, I would save the plot
for another time. Regardless of how “awesome” I may think a plot I create
is, if it interferes with a current plot, then it can always wait. The game
is on going, so there is always “another time” for new plots.
*4) The RST or an aRST sends you an email demanding a large amount of
information about several characters, they don't have an explanation and
they are not particularly courteous. You decide to ask them "What is this
for?" The requester responds with, " I am [insert title here] you will do it
now!" How do you respond? *
I would explain that the amount of information they are requesting is a bit
extreme and I need an explanation before I can send it over. This would
ensure protection for the player characters and that the RSTs are playing
fairly. I don’t think people should use their positions or titles to
threaten anyone else.*
*
*5) You are bored at game you want something to do. Which of the following
options are you most likely to do? a) follow the VST's boring plotline that
has nothing to do with my character, b) create an interesting conversation
that explores deeper aspects of your character and/or WoD, c) do something
nobody ever expected to create some excitement, d) let the VST know you are
going to run a little something then bring on the zombies!*
I would either follow along with the plot or strike up some in character
conversations. Just because a plotline doesn’t involve my character or I’m
not interested in it, doesn’t mean it needs to be changed or interrupted
with zombies.
