> HOW DOES IT HAPPEN?! With regularity (the kind that only Metamucil could
rival) Providence is once more experiencing monthly action, explosions
and gratuitous violence! (Sweeeeet...)
> Whence last we left our heroes (and Doc), after a shocking crime scene,
of
> an Escalade impaled by a Kawasaki, the strange ramblings of an alley
mushroom, a sketchy massage parlor, chopshops and illegal street racing,
our heroes have made a deal with the devil, going over the head of local
street tough Takeshi Otori, local head of 2KD, and set up what could be
one of the biggest drug deals Providence has ever seen.(I like drugs!)
At stake are 1 Kilo bricks of 97% pure coke, as well as the lives and
futures of countless people. It goes down Tomorrow afternoon, by the
docks, in a
locked down wharehouse.(crazy...)

Locally Making News:
>
> Brown University Welcomes Mr. Tetsuo Nagatori, to their college of
International Business. Mr Nagatori will serve as a guest lecturer for the
University, hosting seminars on Trade in a Global Economy. Mr.
Nagatori also heads the North American Operations of Tokai Shipping Int.
which has been looking to expand into the American Atlantic. His team has
negoiated contracts to lease ports in Providence as their first foothold
in the Northeast. While contract negoiations are still ongoing, both the
House Finance Commitee and the Port Authority of the City of Providence
feel confident that negoiations will go through smoothly. Tokai Shipping
is no stranger to Rhode Island being one of the chief financial
contributors to the Black Ships Festival for the past 6 years.
Gang Violence on the upswing:
The Providence Police Dept released some stunning statistics yesterday,
According to the Urban taskforce, a group designed to monitor gang
activity in providence with the cooperation of surrounding communities,
Police Captain James Callahan yesterday said that gang violence in the
past month has more than doubled. The cause? Apparant turf wars between
Los Negros Angeles, known locally as LNA, a predominantly latino gang, and
a rival asian gang known as 2000 Dragons, who according to police, were
little more than vandals and upstarts more than any serious consequence,
only a few months ago. Police are urging people to take precautions as
they attempt to quell the violence which they fear could spread into other
neighborhoods on the south and west end.
Isaac Peck House Sold:
Amid student protests, Brown University has sold off its Isaac Peck House
relocating the art students it housed to on-campus housing. The move was
not without drama though as students staged a rally in protest of the
sale, at one point forming a human chain across the front door. The
students were taken into custody by police and later released, no charges
will be filed. The Isaac Peck house which has stood for almost 200 years
was sold to the univserity in 1935, by the Peck family during the height
of the Depression.
Its new custodians, Citizens Bank Investment and Estate Management branch
has said it will look to sell the property, but as it is on the National
Historic Register, has said the historical value of the property will be
kept intact in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Why has this suddenly appeared on our streets, and
>why is a former no name gang suddenly a key figure in all of this? who
will get the beatdown? What buildings will blow up?! MADNESS AND CARNAGE
OF EPIC PROPORTIONS ENSUE!!!! Don't miss it!
