Jon,
I just have a quick question. For those of us with that great
wonderfully flavorful Ordo Cheese, does that impact on the system?

>Good Evening,

> Number two in my fun Rules Email collector's series: Feeding!
>Cliff Notes: Feeding requires a DT action. The ST will be tracking feeding
>attempts and it may have IC affects.
>
> Feeding is the definition of vampirism, it embodies the horror of the
>genre and the violation of natural law which your PC represents. I will be
>treating it with the respect and emphasis it deserves as such. Please note,
>that like all my custom rules this is a work in progress, I welcome
>comments
>and leave the door open for tweaking as we progress. Thank you for your
>help

>1. Feeding between monthly game sessions will require a DownTime action.
>Players will be expected to state where they intend to feed: such as an
>area, neighborhood, or particular business. Under normal conditions,
>players
>will not need to describe their style of feeding or make pulls; it is
>assumed the character takes their time to do the job right.
>
>2. Areas in the city have ratings which reflect their "farmability". Too
>many feedings in an area arouses suspicion and will make further attempts
>to
>feed there dangerous or futile. When characters feed during game sessions,
>the rating of the area they feed in will modify their hunting draw. Hunting
>attempts made during game sessions do count towards the rating of the area
>overall, just as DT feedings do.
>
>3. Players with dots in Herd may spend a DT action Feeding, but may elect
>to
>use their Herd as the source. This does not affect their Herd rating and,
>even better, does not affect the rating of any city area.
>
>4. Players with dots in Haven Location have an option. Either they may
>choose to Feed without spending a DT action, or they may choose to Feed
>without having their feedings affect the area rating. This option cannot be
>exercised for feeding done during game sessions.
> 4a. Note that characters in Shared Havens cannot each claim the above
>benefit. Only one character in the haven may use option 4 in a given month.
>The rest merely gain the benefit of Haven Location during game session
>draws, as per the MET rules.
>
>Why? My goal with this rule is to continue my ST philosphy: "Enjoy the game
>as much as you choose." Players who don't want to bother with DT can skip
>all this nonsense and just remember that they are down one DT action for
>feeding each month unless they have a solo haven. Done.
> Players who want to try a different style of interaction can delve
>into
>the city a bit more and study how areas change over time. This allows them
>to get inside the game in a sense. They can advise IC visitors where not to
>feed, they can maneuver their rival into feeding in areas where they are
>likely to get caught, and the Rack- choicest grounds in the city- finally
>makes sense. Think of it as yet another layer of mystery to uncover in the
>game, like a tiny game of RISK running in the background of your
>character's
>existence.
> Please note that there is a far more detailed system of mechanics at
>work behind the scenes, I just didn't feel the need to bore you all like I
>did in my nomination letter. Also, I know we have PCs wit havens all over
>tarnation, I will be building this system to cover everybody, so don't
>think
>you'll get off easy because you Haven in Glocester. :)
>
> I thank you all for your time and feedback.
