[CamRI] TEMPLECON!!! Please read

Good Morning,

     This is a big announcement that I just realized hasn't actually been
forwarded out, so here we go:

     Our domain has been invited and is participating in Templecon 2007, a
major convention in the area for all kinds of games. The event runs TempleCon
2007, *February 16, 17, 18.* We have two requiem games currently planned on
the 16 & 17 from 8 to midnight. all registration information etc. can be
found at the templecon website here; http://www.templecon.org. This event
covers the gamut of games and attendees will have the chance to participate
in everything from Warhammer to CCGs, Munchkin, Magic, Table top games, and
our own LARP.
     While John and I have a pretty good handle on things at this point,
we'll need some help and plain old support to pull this off. In the past
Cons have been very great for our domain. We doulbled our chapter size
through Cons in 2004-2005 and got some much-needed new blood into the
domain. Here is what I would like from you all: I need volunteers to aid in
explaining rules and helping to make characters for any walk-ups at the
convention. There will be pre-mades available, anyone interested in
volunteering to help with making those (prior to the Con) is appreciated.
Also, we a re running a charity raffle to benefit the Station Nightclub Fire
Relief fund; any ideas for items or donations of actual items of value are
appreciated. Note that this is a general gaming Con, not a Camarilla con, so
items of general gaming interest are ideal.
     Also, I need to know how many of you are interested in attending. We
can register as a group, get nifty matching badges, and get discount pricing
(25$ for the whole weekend), but pre-registration closes on the 17th (two
weeks from today) so I need an exact count ASAP. There is convention pricing
for those interested in getting rooms near the Con.
     Please give this serious consideration. This event will be taking the
place of our usual game and both Friday and Saturday will count for
experience and prestige for those who assist. A broader announcement of our
involvement will go out to the region, but you all get first dibs. Thank you
all for your help and anticipated swift response.
