[after many long hours of research in the Providence Athenaea...]

So after all the drama and teamwork the other day, I decided that it might
be a good idea to continue researching spirits and Abyssal manifestations
like the one we dealt with, just in case we ever have to do so again without
someone whose specialty that is. And, um, according to some of the things I
found...

"Spirits are a notoriously hardy group of entities. Unless their
essence is drained or devoured by another spirit, discorporation of their
physical form merely sets them back while their form recorporates within the
shadow realm.

Abyssal manifestations are unique in that they usually require a
specific means of entry from the Abyss into the fallen realms, either
through a paradoxical manifestation or through specific key courses of
action that allow them entry. Similarly these manifestations require a
specific method of banishment back into the Abyss, each method being unique
to the specific form of intrusion."

Looks like our problem isn't entirely gone, and we may have just made it
angrier.
