I would like to point out you people never asked the DST questions during
the 'question phase'. :-P
Questions to Jenn:
1)Would you look for free site? :)
A: Free is always better then paid, I think everyone agrees with that. And
free sites are always great cuz the site host gets prestige.
But, i think we do need to give a break to our poor Cammies who open their
houses to us. I want to restart a discussion (if I get elected) that Jon
opened about paying a small site fee (say$3 or $5 for all months games) and
trying to alternate every other month or every third month or heck, every 6
months at a 'paid' site. (So for those math-y types a 100 dollar site every
other month, with our game attendance of 10 people at Vampire and 6 at mage
would equal $48 per month which would mean for a paid site every other month
IF it was only 100 we could do at $3 a head with some one chipping in the
extra $4 (i'm ok w/ that)) But that's only if the Domain wants to do
something like that.
2) If the host of a game cancels now you need to change sites how would you
handle that?
A:Volunteer you to host a game. (j/k)
Ok, I know this has happened alot to our mage venue. There are a few
options,
1. Reschedule game,
2. Cancel Game,
3. Get a new site.
Now, there has been alot of contention that we need to solidify what dates
are what for game, and that we've also been trying to change game dates
(mage weekends 4th to 3rd, and vampire to a saturday).
I think it would have to be addressed with our players immediately within 48
hours. Normally, I would say move the site, that seems to be the least
disruptive to the players. But I can not promise that moving the site will
always be the best solution to this particular issue. (i.e. If a player gets
married and most of the venue is attending the wedding, then really,
rescheduling, probably a better idea then just changing sites) I think
canceling game should be avoided at all costs. We do have a few more people
who can host games then we did previously so this issue may almost always be
readily remedied by changing sites.
