[CamRI] Rules for VST Mage communication

Hi everyone,

To alleviate some confusion and provide better service to the players the 
VST and AVST of Mage have decided to create some rules for communication for 
game.

1)  Communications fall into several different categories, and so to better 
address these please send them in the following formats:
a)  Notifications are those e-mails that do not require action on the part 
of ST's but you wish to make sure the ST's know what you've done over the 
month.  Notifications should be grouped together and sent as part of your 
monthly downtime report, rather than sent individually.
b)  Downtime Actions -  Downtime reports fall under the category of 
Notifications.  Specific Downtime actions which require ST approval (namely 
those affecting plot and characters in the Providence venue, or those in 
another venue that require specific supervising ST approval) may be sent 
seperately.  These may take 3-5 days to recieve a response.  Please do not 
send multiple copies of these actions to the same person during this initial 
response period.
c)  Game requests and questions - These include such questions as where game 
is, when game is, and who is coming to game.  These should be sent to CamRI, 
as often other members can answer this.
d)  ST Communication - This refers to communication either originally 
initiated by the ST, or directly related to game events that need to be 
resolved (Example:  At the end of a session your character has been captured 
by enemies.  Could not be resolved during session.  What happened?).  If you 
are sending the question please indicate "Resolution Required" in title of 
email.  St's will respond within 2-3 days.
e)  Emergencies - These are for situations where it is important that 
communication happens as soon as possible.  If sending an email please put 
"Emergency" in title of email.  If phoning please state that it is an 
emergency, and explain the nature of the problem on a voice mail if you 
don't get through.  We cannot guarantee a response within 24 hours but we 
will try if it is an emergency.
Emergencies include:  Needing an item signed before a con, Needing a ruling 
before a game session in another venue, or something of a similar nature.

2)  Rulings can come equally from VST and AVST.  If AVST makes a ruling that 
ruling will stand unless it is in direct violation of the rules of the 
Camarilla.  AVST will notify VST of ruling.

3)  Phoning an ST about game should be primarily for Emergencies (see above) 
only.  If you do not reach them, leave a message.  We will try and get back 
to you as soon as we can but can't guarentee how quickly that will be.  
Calling back multiple times in a row will not make resolution any faster.  
If we did not take the call, we are unavailable at that time.  We all have 
jobs, and other commitments as well which can make direct communication 
difficult.

4)  Communications to the ST staff should be matters for the ST chain of 
command only.  Therefore matters not pertaining to plot or character actions 
should generally be communicated to the DC instead.  Examples include:  
Prestige requests, CoC violations and membership information.


These rules are not designed to limit communication with the ST staff but to 
make that communication more efficient.  All in all this is intended to make 
your gaming experience more enjoyable.  If you do have any concerns 
regarding this policy please let us know.

It should also be noted that these rules are flexible and may change over 
time to address the needs of the staff.  If it does so we will send out a 
notification.
