>From the following sections of the membership handbook
cover it:
-----------------------------
Members are expected to be courteous and cordial
whenever they are not in character. Compliments should
be as frequent as possible and criticism should be
constructive. Members shall not threaten other members
or the public, nor will they denigrate personal,
political or religious viewpoints. If a member
expresses that they are offended by a certain subject
matter, then discussion on that subject matter should
cease.
-----------------------------
Investigations should be handled promptly and kept
confidential to the involved parties and officers who
need to know. Show respect to members under
investigation.
-----------------------------
f the mediation topic directly concerns the general
performance of an officer, the supervising officer
should consider whether mediation is appropriate and
beneficial. The supervising officer may choose to
bypass mediation and proceed directly to a formal
hearing. Officers may not be required to reveal
sensitive or confidential information during any
mediation process.
-----------------------------
A removed VST can, of course, re-apply. If the
application is removed the DST must disclose why to
the venue's player-base unless the removed candidate
specifically asks for the information to remain
confidential.
The Camarilla is not actually a government, it's a
private organization. Also, very few governments
actually have a freedom of information requirement.
Even in the US where we have it certain things can,
should, and do remain classified for long periods.
Some information remains so indefinetly.
Most times an appointed member of the government (like
a cabinet member) is removed the cause is not
reveiled. Many times removal is done by having the
person resign. Having a person resign in the
government is cleaner. Still, publishing why a person
was removed (from the government) can cause legal
issues. For example the removed person could sue for
slander and libel.
Most companies are prevented from saying why they
fired an employee because it can make it hard for them
to get hired elsewhere. This opens up ex-employees
the oppurtunity to sue their former employer. This is
the reason many companies, including the one I work
for, will give no more information about any
ex-employee (even one who quit) than dates of
employment.
